Permanent and reliable sealing according to DIN 18533-1 1.1/1.2 or DIN 18531-5-8.2.2 of foundation footings or buried walls, false ceilings, balconies and terraces subject to medium loads (vehicular traffic, garden beds and continuous, excessive stresses are not permitted) and sealing of connection joints (walls on metal frames, base areas, terrace doors, floor-to-ceiling windows, metal façades, windows). Waterproofing in the basement area between the solid structural elements and wooden constructions or masonry connections according to DIN 18533 W4-E.
The surfaces must be clean, intact and free from dust and grease.
- Pre-treat absorbent and porous surfaces with a primer for mineral and bitumen substrates (art. no. 5991540920)
- Cut to size, peel the protective film from the liner and apply ensuring there are no creases
- To ensure proper adhesion, press the tape onto the surface and smooth with a roller or similar tool
- When the strips are connected, the overlap must be at least 100 mm
- Keep in mind that the watertight membrane has limited resistance to UV rays and its external exposure duration is limited to 8 weeks
