- The wood connector has a ball shape for a strong, precise connection between elements
- High level of factory pre-fabrication via simple CAD planning and machine trimming
- Connectors are secured quickly and easily using one ASSY 4 PII CSMP screw of 8 mm diameter and length 70, 90 or 110 mm
- 50 % faster assembly time compared to conventional metal connectors thanks to simple pre-assembly, large initial installation clearance during insertion into the milling pocket and the lack of need for wall supports
- No incorrect assembly of connecting materials possible
- No capital investment thanks to the use of standard milling cutters
- Manufactured from laminated beech veneer to conserve resources
- Moisture resistant thanks to high-quality glue and surface protection
- CAD models are available for download from various providers of CAD trimming software or from the Würth CAD database
- Connectors which are not installed should be stored in a dry place to prevent dimensional change due to moisture intake
- Structural connector for quick installation of pre-fabricated wall, ceiling and roof elements made of solid wood or CLT with narrow cross-sections
- e.g. wall connections (< 120 mm) or ceiling and roof elements (< 200 mm)
- Usage class 1 and 2
The WC-BC (bunt cone) wood connector is a tapered, ball-shaped connector. It is inserted into a pin hole and screwed in place with one ASSY 4 PII CSMP screw of 8 mm diameter. The beech multiplex wood connectors and hook-in pockets are positioned during the CAD planning of the elements. Once mounted on the timber element, the WC-BC wood connector is hooked into the tapered pocket located on the connecting component. As the timber structure is lowered, the two timber elements become connected as the WC-BC wood connector is wedged into the milled pocket.
